HAPPY RELEASE DAY TO COLLEEN HOOVER!
IT ENDS WITH US
Sometimes it is the one who loves you who hurts you the most.
Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.
Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.
As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan—her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.
With this bold and deeply personal novel, Colleen Hoover delivers a heart-wrenching story that breaks exciting new ground for her as a writer. Combining a captivating romance with a cast of all-too-human characters, It Ends With Us is an unforgettable tale of love that comes at the ultimate price
*** MY REVIEW*****
This book y’all. It was like a hurricane of emotions!
I was swept up in it right from the start.
I went in blind, not knowing what the book was about.
Just let me say that I experienced all the feels possible!
It was real. Raw.
It made me laugh. Cry. Gasp. Shutter.
I fell in love and also had my heart hurt more than once.
I had hope. Hope for what I wanted the outcome to be as a reader.
It was just so much emotion for me. This story is definitely one that will make you think about life and the decisions we make and why. I feel like it will keep coming back to you long after you’ve read it.
In my opinion the storyline is well written and I applaud Colleen Hoover for writing such inspiring and real characters. Their relationships were so well written that I could somehow relate/sympathize to what they were experiencing even though I haven’t experienced it myself.
Lily is a very strong character.
Ryle is just wow!
Atlas is the epitome of a knight in shining armor.
I seriously believe Hoover’s writing gets better with with each book.

*****MY REVIEW***
Heartbreaking yet inspiring!!!
The blurb alone was enough to catch my attention! I truthfully didn’t know what to expect as I read, although the premise is a bit predictable. I did thoroughly enjoy sharing the journey with Dakota as she had to deal with her secrets partially alone. I know saying “enjoy” sounds sadistic, but what I mean is that Margaret McHeyzer pulled me right into the story and I was able to sympathize with Dakota on such a deep it level, it was kind of hard for me to keep reading the story at times. I felt the hurt, the pain and shared Dakota’s tears. I feel McHeyzer did an excellent job on tackling such heavy/dark issues that many teens deal with yet never speak about.
My absolute favorite characters were Dakota’s sister, Sam and friend, Reece. Samantha was witty, strong-willed and so funny! Reece. What can’t I say about Reece? He was a supportive, patient, kind and understanding friend. Some of the things that came out of his mouth totally made me swoon for this high school boy lol.
“Feel the way my heart beats.” He presses my hand further to his chest. “It only beats for you. No one else holds it in their hand the way you do.”
“Have enough faith in me to get you through this until you find your strength again.”
**swoon*
The only thing I found hard to believe were Dakota’s friends reactions to things that happened in the story. I felt like after being such good friends for so many years, their reactions wouldn’t have been so dramatic. I do think teens will come away thinking “what would I do if I were in the same situation?”
With all this said I would definitely recommend this book! Great eye-opener for the young and old.
5/5 STARS!!

****MY REVIEW
OH MY STARS! Can you say intense?
This book! It kept me up all night!
I just couldn’t put it down! I was hooked from the start.
This book is about Elissa Holt, Ethan Holt’s sister, a stage manager on Broadway. I love how Elissa tells the story to her BFF, Josh, of how she came to know and love the now popular hollywood actor Liam Quinn years ago. I totally fell in love with Liam at the same time she did. You felt their love so deeply, it was definitely palpable.
You will also hurt for her when things ended between them when he moved from NY to LA to further his career. My heart smiled and broke all at the same time. Liam. Oh Liam, how could you not fall in love with him? And though his secrets will be his downfall he still had my heart. <3
Now, six year later and famous actors, Liam and his fiancee, Angel Bell are interested in theater work on Broadway. Elissa and Liam’s path cross again and the connection they shared long ago is hard to break.
The sparks between them was off the charts, as well as the sexual tension.
What happens next…well you’ll just have to read to find out ;-)
I think I was grinning from ear to ear almost the whole time I read. The character’s witty banter and sarcasm definitely kept the book interesting. Leisa Ravyen did an excellent job creating them totally lovable and relatable. I totally enjoyed this book!
5/5 stars for sure!!

*****MY REVIEW
I know I’ve probably typed that before…but seriously. This book. It kept me coming back for more, it was so hard to put down.
Ava Harrison hooked me…reeled me in, made me fall in love, shattered my heart, then put me back together. And the twists??
I didn’t see them coming at all!!
Aria..poor Aria. She is lost and broken due to circumstances of her past. She embarks on this journey of “finding herself” and finds more than she bargained for.. in Chase Porter.
Can I just say this book brought out the feels! It’s emotionally heartbreaking as well inspirational and full of hope. I loved reading how the characters dealt with their struggles in life.

Here's to Forever by Teagan Hunter
Here's to Forever by Teagan Hunter
Moments are fickle. Sometimes all you get is a split second to make a decision. Other times you have what seems like an eternity and what you think is the right choice could be the biggest mistake you ever make.
Rae Kamden and Hudson Tamell have lived in a perfect bubble since the day their relationship was almost destroyed. They’ve laughed, smiled, loved, and moved on from all that has weighed them down in the past. Or so they thought.
After almost a year of bliss, things have suddenly shifted for the worse. Lies are being told, questions are gone unanswered, and nothing is as it should be.
Can they mend their relationship and move forward together? Or will they give up on what they thought was their forever?
This is a novella. Approx 40,000 words.
It is highly recommended that you read Here's to Tomorrow first.
Recommended for 18+ audience for explicit language and sexual situations.
****MY REVIEW
Loved this novella so much! Great ending to this series!
We all know every relationship isn't all hearts and flowers, yet Rae and Hudson's seem right out of a fairy tale.
But when trouble brews, the suspense of not knowing what will happen next keeps you reading all night long!
I enjoyed following Rae & Hudson's journey as they dealt with issues in their relationship. It was real. It was relative!
My favorite part of Teagan's books is Rae's unfiltered mouth! I love the witty, hilarious banter between the characters.
Teagan's writing is refreshing, fun and full of humor. This novella will not disappoint.
I recommend reading Here's to tomorrow first, so you can get better insight into Rae & Hudson.

The Coincidence of Coconut Cake by Amy Reichert
You’ve Got Mail meets How to Eat a Cupcake in this delightful novel about a talented chef and the food critic who brings down her restaurant—whose chance meeting turns into a delectable romance of mistaken identities.
In downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lou works tirelessly to build her beloved yet struggling French restaurant, Luella’s, into a success. She cheerfully balances her demanding business and even more demanding fiancĂ©…until the morning she discovers him in the buff—with an intern.
Witty yet gruff British transplant Al is keeping himself employed and entertained by writing scathing reviews of local restaurants in the Milwaukee newspaper under a pseudonym. When an anonymous tip sends him to Luella’s, little does he know he’s arrived on the worst day of the chef’s life. The review practically writes itself: underdone fish, scorched sauce, distracted service—he unleashes his worst.
The day that Al’s mean-spirited review of Luella’s runs, the two cross paths in a pub: Lou drowning her sorrows, and Al celebrating his latest publication. As they chat, Al playfully challenges Lou to show him the best of Milwaukee and she’s game—but only if they never discuss work, which Al readily agrees to. As they explore the city’s local delicacies and their mutual attraction, Lou’s restaurant faces closure, while Al’s column gains popularity. It’s only a matter of time before the two fall in love…but when the truth comes out, can Lou overlook the past to chase her future?
Set in the lovely, quirky heart of Wisconsin, The Coincidence of Coconut Cake is a charming love story of misunderstandings, mistaken identity, and the power of food to bring two people together.
************************MY REVIEW
Such a delectable read!!
I totally devoured this book from start to finish! Chick lit at its finest!
Lou, a chef, owns Luella’s, a French restaurant, in Milwaukee. On one of the worst days of her life, a food critic (Al) enters and the reviews of Luella's are less than stellar.
Their identities (Lou & the critic) are unbeknownst to either party, yet their paths cross more than once and the rest … well you’ll have to read to find out.
Their identities (Lou & the critic) are unbeknownst to either party, yet their paths cross more than once and the rest … well you’ll have to read to find out.
The food descriptions alone had me hooked!! I also enjoyed learning more about Milwaukee’s food scene.
I totally felt like I was watching/reading the foodie version of "You’ve Got Mail", which was totally okay, since that’s one of my absolute favorite movies. <3
This was such a delightful read! I loved watching the transformation of Lou and Al as they realize what they really want out of life.
The secondary characters were just as lovable and I’m hoping they show up again in another book!
I was so excited to see a recipe for coconut cake included at the end of the book! I can't wait to make it! Check out this read, you won't be disappointed.
5/5 stars!
